Mitsubishi vehicles include compact hatchbacks, SUVs, pickups and plug-in hybrids, so battery requirements vary by model, year, engine and electrical specification. The correct replacement must match the required technology, capacity, cold cranking performance, dimensions, terminal position and hold-down.
Our Mitsubishi battery finder uses vehicle application data to narrow down suitable Lucas batteries for popular models including the Outlander, ASX, L200, Shogun, Eclipse Cross, Colt, Mirage and Grandis.
Many conventional Mitsubishi petrol and diesel models use a standard 12V starter battery. Compare the size, terminal layout, hold-down and starting performance with the battery currently fitted.
EFB batteries may be fitted to stop-start models with moderate cycling demands. If EFB is specified, replace it with the same technology or a manufacturer-approved upgrade.
Some higher-specification Mitsubishi models require AGM technology for repeated engine restarts, intelligent charging and increased electrical demand. Where AGM is fitted, do not downgrade.
The Outlander PHEV uses a high-voltage traction battery to power the hybrid system, but it also relies on a separate 12V battery for control modules, locking, lighting and electronics. This finder identifies the 12V battery, not the high-voltage hybrid battery.
A weak 12V battery can cause warning messages, access problems or prevent the vehicle from entering ready mode, even when the traction battery is charged.
If your Mitsubishi automatically switches the engine off when stationary and restarts it when you move away, it will normally require an EFB or AGM battery. Replace the fitted technology like-for-like unless Mitsubishi approves a different specification.
Models such as the L200 and Shogun can place higher demands on the battery, especially in cold weather or when accessories, towing equipment or auxiliary systems are fitted. Confirm the required capacity, CCA, dimensions and terminal layout before ordering.
We offer competitively priced Lucas batteries for Mitsubishi vehicles without compromising on dependable starting power, correct battery technology or warranty cover. The best value comes from choosing the right Mitsubishi battery first time.
Use the Mitsubishi battery finder and select your model, year, engine and fuel type. Then compare the recommended dimensions, terminal layout and hold-down with the battery currently fitted.
No. The finder is for the separate 12V battery, not the high-voltage traction battery used by the hybrid system.
Normally no. If AGM is specified, fit an AGM replacement. A conventional battery may not cope with the charging strategy, stop-start operation or electrical demands of the vehicle.
Stop-start may be disabled when battery charge or condition is too low. Temperature, electrical demand and other operating conditions can also temporarily prevent the system from working.
Our vehicle fitment results help narrow your search. Please compare the key details below with the battery currently fitted.
