Jaguar E-PACE Battery Finder

The Jaguar E-PACE is a compact performance SUV with Ingenium petrol and diesel engines, later mild-hybrid technology and a P300e plug-in hybrid. Its low-voltage system differs significantly from the fully electric I-PACE.

Select the year, engine and fuel type above for compatible Lucas batteries. An R-Dynamic or Chequered Flag specification describes trim, not one universal battery.

Ingenium Petrol and Diesel Models

E-PACE petrol and diesel engines appear in different outputs and can be paired with front- or all-wheel drive. Diesel applications need enough CCA for glow-plug heating and cold cranking.

Match the exact output and production period because smart charging and Start Stop specifications changed through the model's life.

Compact SUV Urban Use

Many E-PACEs cover short commutes with heated screens, climate control, parking cameras and Pivi or InControl active. Unlocking and loading can wake numerous modules before the engine starts.

Repeated short use may leave the battery partly charged even when starting still sounds normal.

E-PACE Mild-Hybrid System

A mild-hybrid E-PACE includes an additional electrified battery system that recovers energy and assists the engine. The normal low-voltage battery continues to support vehicle electronics.

A Lucas 12-volt replacement is not a substitute for the mild-hybrid battery. Confirm which system has generated the fault before ordering.

P300e Plug-In Hybrid

The P300e can travel using energy stored in its high-voltage traction battery and can be charged externally. It also needs a separate low-voltage supply to wake computers, operate locks and bring the vehicle into ready mode.

Only choose a low-voltage battery when the P300e application is explicitly confirmed. High-voltage repair requires trained technicians.

Start Stop and Secondary Supplies

Petrol or diesel E-PACE models with Start Stop can require AGM or EFB construction. Some versions may also contain a support battery or other energy-storage component.

Keep the specified technology and identify every fitted unit. Switching Start Stop off does not make a standard flooded battery suitable.

Powered Tailgate and Parked Accessories

Repeated tailgate operation, cabin lighting and accessories during family loading consume energy while the powertrain is off. Dash cameras and trackers can add a continuous parked load.

If the E-PACE becomes flat after standing, allow all modules to sleep before measuring shutdown current.

Low-Voltage Fault Symptoms

A weak battery can cause slow cranking, unavailable Start Stop, keyless-entry problems, touchscreen reboots or groups of parking, transmission and driver-assistance warnings. A PHEV can refuse to enter ready mode.

Test the battery and its charging path before diagnosing each electronic message independently.

Installation and Registration

Verify case size, base fixing, terminal orientation, Ah, CCA and AGM or EFB technology. Applicable vehicles need diagnostic battery registration after fitting.

See the complete Jaguar battery finder, or compare the Jaguar F-PACE battery and Jaguar I-PACE battery pages.

HELP & ADVICE

Jaguar E-PACE battery FAQs

How do I find the correct Jaguar E-PACE battery?

Select the year, engine and fuel type in the finder above. Then compare the recommended battery dimensions, terminal layout and hold-down with the battery currently fitted.

Does my Jaguar E-PACE need an AGM battery?

Some versions use AGM, particularly vehicles with Start/Stop, regenerative charging or higher electrical demand. Always replace AGM with AGM and do not downgrade the technology.

Can I replace an EFB battery with AGM?

An AGM upgrade may be suitable where the physical size, terminal layout and vehicle charging requirements are correct. Do not replace an AGM battery with EFB or standard technology.

Do I need to register the new battery?

Some vehicles use battery monitoring and energy-management systems that require the new battery to be registered or coded. Check the vehicle handbook or seek professional advice.

How long should a Jaguar E-PACE battery last?

Battery life varies with journey type, temperature, electrical demand and charging condition. Frequent short trips and long periods without use can reduce service life.
