Volvo battery registration and intelligent charging

Volvo Recharge and hybrid 12V batteries
Volvo mild-hybrid, plug-in hybrid and Recharge models still use a separate 12V battery for control systems, locking, lighting and electronics. This finder is intended to identify the 12V battery, not the high-voltage traction battery used to power the electric drive system.
Volvo stop-start battery replacement
If your Volvo automatically switches the engine off when stationary and restarts it when you move away, it will normally require an EFB or AGM battery. Replace the fitted technology like-for-like unless Volvo approves a different specification.

Can I replace a Volvo AGM battery with a standard battery?
