Honda hybrid and electric models still use a separate 12V battery for control systems, locking, lighting and vehicle electronics. This finder is intended to identify the 12V battery, not the high-voltage traction battery used by the hybrid or electric drive system.
A weak 12V battery can cause warning messages, access problems or prevent the vehicle from becoming ready even when the main traction battery has charge.
Honda stop-start battery replacement
If your Honda automatically switches the engine off when stationary and restarts it when you move away, it will normally require an EFB or AGM battery. Replace the fitted technology like-for-like unless Honda approves a different specification.

Is the battery shown for a Honda hybrid or EV the main traction battery?
No. The finder is for the vehicle's 12V battery, not the high-voltage traction battery used to power the hybrid or electric drive system.
Can I replace a Honda AGM battery with a standard battery?
Normally no. If AGM is specified, fit an AGM replacement. A conventional battery may not cope with the charging strategy, stop-start operation or electrical demands of the vehicle.
Why has stop-start stopped working on my Honda?
Stop-start may be disabled when battery charge or condition is too low. Temperature, electrical demand and other operating conditions can also temporarily prevent the system from working.
